November 2025: Dr. Dylan Wright successfully defended his PhD dissertation in Materials Science and Engineering entitled “Investigation of Phonon and Thermal Properties of Semiconductors Using Brillouin–Mandelstam Light Scattering Spectroscopy,” at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, UCLA. Dylan made significant contributions to the development of a unique spectroscopy system at CNSI and conducted cutting-edge research on advanced semiconductor materials.
