Congratulations to Sahar Naghibi who defended her PhD dissertation in Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) and accepted employment with the Keysight Technologies in Santa Clara, California. Sahar’s new job is research and development (R&D) relevant to her prior research experience at UCR. Sahar’s dissertation was entitled “Noncuring Graphene Thermal Interface Materials for Advanced Electronics”. Congratulations to Barath Kanna Mahadevan who defended his MS thesis in MSE and accepted employment with Intel Corporation in Hillsborough, Oregon. Barath’ MS thesis was entitled “Noncuring Thermal Interface Materials with Graphene Fillers for Thermal Management of Concentrated Photovoltaic Solar Cells.” Sahar and Barath conducted their research in the UCR Phonon Optimized Engineered Materials (POEM) Center under supervision of Professor Balandin and Professor Kargar.
